<span id="docs-internal-guid-4de4a445-4ea7-0c94-100f-5dab4c38e252"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">

<br><br><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.2; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 18.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Improvisation TECHNIQUES that I have used successfully are always say yes because I keep the performance going by not killing it. Also listen because I listen to the people before me or with me so I know what to say.</span></div>
<br><br><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.2; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 18.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Improvisation TECHNIQUES that I would like to have more practice at are establish a who, when & a where because when I don't it gets hard to carry on the performance not knowing what to say.</span></div>
<br><br><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 18.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The thing that I enjoyed most about this unit of learning was the games because it was fun acting as characters that I would never want to be.</span></div>
<br><br><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 18.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The thing that I found most challenging during this unit of learning was actually getting up and doing it in front of other people because I was nervous and sometimes didn't know how to act out the certain character.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 18.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> </span></div>
<br><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 18.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">My favourite improvisation game was family picture because it was funny watching people in a freeze frame while on a roller-coaster or a fancy restaurant etc.</span></div>
<br><br><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.2; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 18.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">My next step/ something I need to work on further in improvisation is to be more confident and be able to think on my feet because I'm not and I can't but I would like to be able to.</span></div>

When we got there we all sat down in our rows and talked about how the cultural festival went. Mr Brown said that the people organising it said that we were one of the best groups that went up on stage. That was because of our transitions, our volume, our actions and our pride. I was wondering if we were going to keep practicing the original songs or different ones; turns out we are doing different ones. Oaklands School was performing in this Cultural Festival, which was very exciting. <div><br></div><div>I got there at 6:00 and went to the meeting place that the teachers set for us. It was so cool to see everyone in there costumes. All of the girl wore headbands and the year eight girls (that had there ears pierced) wore feather earrings as well. </div><div><br></div><div>We went inside and sat down in our seats, we watched all of the performances because we were last, then we left our seats and went backstage. It was really cool to go backstage. We lined up in the lines that we would go in on stage, walked up on stage. I was really nervous at first but then once we started I wasn't. The first song was Hareruia, then we sang Tuhurihuri, where I do long poi, then our school song, Taitupu. </div><div><br></div><div>After that everyone moved to one side and we sang He Honore with another school. I could play alright but it still hurt, then I decided that I should not play that day and then I could play day two and three. </span></font></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></span></font></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Then later in the day it became so sore I couldn't stand. But by the time we got on the bus it was good enough to walk on. After school mum took me to the doctor to get it checked, they told to rest, it and ice it.</span></font></div><div><b style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></b></div><div><u><b style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Day 2</b></u></div><div><u><b style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></b></u></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Day two of Koru Games didn't happen for me, my ankle was to sore and it would be stupid to go out that day. I was really disappointed because last year I was sick for the three days of Koru Games. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><b><u><br></u></b></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><b><u>Day 3</u></b></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><b><u><br></u></b></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Day three was awesome my ankle was fine, and on the bus Mr Ladbrook told me that I could move up to the A team because there wasn't enough girls. So I played my first game, which was a full game because there has to be three girls on the field at a time, and there are only three girls in the team. We lost that game but it was so fun and got a few good touches. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">We had another game and again I had a full game. We lost that one also but it was fun being in a good team. I kinda felt like I was letting the team down, but they said they were losing anyway. So that me feel better.</span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">We had one last game and we lost this one as well. It was disappointing but at least we got a last try. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">When we got back to school we found out that the Football Boys A team scored first out of about 30+ teams which was incredible, and our Volleyball Boys came third out of about 30+ teams as well!</span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">The care value I showed was respect because I respected all of the teams even if we lost. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">I showed leadership by listening and not arguing with the ref. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">I was a role model by getting on with the game even if the ref was wrong or something along those lines. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><b><u><br></u></b></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><b><u><br></u></b></span></div></div></div>Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0
